The snow in the middle of the picture above was carried there by an avalanche. Must have been quite a quantity as it is still there in june.

Ants, but thanks God not in the pants...austrian ants are evil, they really bite and can grow about 2cm big....but i have seen much bigger ones about 10cm, but unforunately nobody believes me...
Pointy peaks, snowy slopes, cool creeks, green gras and communicative cows. That's the austrian alps. (i could not find another alliteration for the cows, of course they are not really communicative)
